In the U.S., it is regarded as the top song of 1957. Otis Blackwell composed this song, with compostional additions by Elvis himself, who is also credited as lyricist. It was ranked #352 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

All Shook Up is also the name of a Broadway musical featuring the songs of Elvis Presley, based on the plot of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
